Hanoi University of Science and Technology signed a cooperation agreement with Can Tho University

   Attending to the signing ceremony were Prof. Ta Duc Thinh – Minister of Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, Ministry of Education & Training; Prof. Nguyen Trong Giang – President of HUST, Mr. Nguyen Trung Dung - General Director of BK Holdings, Mr. Tran Van Nhan - Director of Vietnam National Cleaner Production Centre (VNCPC – a member unit of BK-Holdings), Mr. Mai Thanh Tung - Deputy Head of International Cooperation, HUST. In side of Can Tho University were Prof. Ha Thanh Toan – Rector of CTU, Associate Prof. Le Viet Dung and Dr. Tran Trung Tinh – Vice Rectors of CTU and Representatives of the Departments, Faculties, Institutes of the two schools.

 

   Memorandum of cooperation between Can Tho University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology can be considered as an important foundation for promoting implementation of practical co-operation between the two cases in the future.

  Speaking at the signing ceremony, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training, Professor Ta Duc Thinh congratulated cooperation relations between the two universities, particularly in promoting science and technology development activities, sharing the new science and technology achievements, improving the quality of human resource training and promoting the comprehensive and uniform development of regions in the country, especially in the Mekong Delta.

According to the agreement, the two schools have agreed to cooperate in the fields of training and retraining staff, cooperating scientific research and technology transfer in terms of clean agriculture and high quality aquaculture.

 

   Prof. Nguyen Trong Giang – President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology appreciated this event marks an important step in the development of relationship between the two universities, contributes to utilize and develop strong multi-disciplinary and multi-sector of two major universities. 

   On the basis of signed documents, HUST and CTU have believed that the two sides will soon determine the specific contents activities and designate partners in each unit to implement, and establish mixed subcommittee which task the proposed research and coordinate the cooperative activities.
